Main Job Purpose
Provides customer with on -site support for the company.
Primary interface to OEM Release Engineers.
Obtain data from OEM Engineering Teams
Supports OEM Engineering, Plants as Technical Expert for the company’s products
Principal Accountabilities – Includes, but are not limited to, the following
Strategic on-site Sales/Engineering Representative. Shall be key point of contact.
Participation and early involvement in continuous product development and engineering changes. Should represent the company in internal meetings at the customer to analyze and decide on potential modifications to our products.
Guide Sales and Project Management with Engineering Change implementation objectives.
On-site Technical Expert to provide support and service to designated OEM Engineering areas.
Main interface between the companies’ Project Management, Engineering, and Sales; and the Customer’s Pilot Plants, Model Shops, Vehicle Development, Test Labs and Styling Offices.
Install set ups, and explain/maintain the company’s products in Engineering owned vehicles, such as pilots, mules and test cars.
Provides on-site solutions to OEM’s Engineering in handling information from and to the company.
Supports OEM Engineering in diagnosing vehicles with potential quality situations, such as Okm and warranty returns.
Procures access to OEM’s systems to obtain, when allowed, specifications and relevant data for the use of the company’s technical departments.
Support sales in other activities as requested.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
4 year degree from a college or university, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent work related experience.
2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering in the Automotive Industry
Understanding of Diagnostic tools
Experience with OEM systems and procedures
Experience with electromechanical components, including diagnostics, CANoe, CAD
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understand of Quality systems and problem solving tools
Ability to establish relationships
Ability to travel to customer facilities, both domestically and internationally, including Mexico and Canada.
