Quality Manager-Greater Grand Rapids
Manages a team that conducts a variety of tests on raw materials, subassemblies and parts to ensure that parts are within specified standards according to specifications.
Manage and administer all facets of the company Quality System, ISO 9001:2015 experience
Oversee and participate in the corrective action of business process improvement opportunities to rapidly identify, evaluate, propose and implement solutions.
Support the establishment of performance metrics that are linked to the business objectives, take corrective action as required and report on progress.
Works closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management and the customer.
Other duties as assigned.
Critical Job Skills/Competency Expectations:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Four years’ experience in quality, two years in leadership positions.
Six Sigma, Process Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience and training preferred.
Creative and change-oriented Continuous Improvement process skills required.
Extensive GDT experience
Blue print experience
Manufacturing and measurement background
Knowledge in measurement technologies and limitation
Gage R+R experience
Mini-Tab and other statistical package background
