I am reaching out to you in an effort to network and hopefully find someone that would be interested in this “REAL” growth opportunity. My client is seeking someone to really be his #1 in the company which could create the potential for equity and definitely promotion in the future. It’s a stable situation and growing in Greenville, SC. They are looking for a:
HVAC Design engineer, preferably an M.E. grad, 3-6 years out of school with HVAC design experience who is interested in becoming a P.E. at some point. The office is not fancy, so a candidate looking for shiny bells and whistles isn't going to be a good fit, but business is good, and he is a great boss. In terms of hours, everyone stays when the work needs to be done, but there is great flexibility when there needs to be as well. There is potential to become part owner or have some equity long term in this company! Looking for someone self-directed!

The following is a list he put together:
CANDIDATE OPTIONS OF WHO WILL BE ACCEPTABLE:
FIRST PREFERENCE:
A mechanical engineering graduate with 2 to 5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and piping design. The following are preferences for this type of candidate:
1. Be knowledgeable of the International Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
2. Have the ability to calculate heating and cooling loads.
3. Have the ability to select unitary and hydronic heating and cooling equipment.
4. Have the ability design hydronic heating and cooling piping and pump systems.
5. Have the ability to select fans and size ductwork.
6. Have the ability to design plumbing systems to include domestic water piping, sanitary sewer piping, and produce riser diagrams.
7. Have experience in commercial, light commercial, educational, and/or industrial design.
8. Have the ability to obtain EIT and PE (but must not necessarily need to have the desire)
9. Be skilled in the use of AutoCAD (familiarity with the use of Revit is a plus)

2nd preference of a candidate:
A mechanical designer with at least 10 years experience in HVAC, plumbing, and piping design. The following are preferences for this type of candidate:
1. Be knowledgeable of the International Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
2. Have the ability to select unitary heating and cooling equipment.
3. Have the ability design hydronic heating and cooling piping systems.
4. Have the ability to select fans and size ductwork.
5. Have the ability to design plumbing systems to include domestic water piping, sanitary sewer piping, and produce riser diagrams.
6. Have experience in commercial, light commercial, educational, and/or industrial design.
7. Be skilled in the use of AutoCAD (familiarity with the use of Revit is a plus)

3rd preference of a candidate:
A mechanical engineering graduate with 5 plus years experience in HVAC, plumbing, and piping design. The following are preferences for this type of candidate:
1. Be knowledgeable of the International Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
2. Have the ability to calculate heating and cooling loads.
3. Have the ability to select unitary and hydronic heating and cooling equipment.
4. Have the ability design hydronic heating and cooling piping and pump systems.
5. Have the ability to select fans and size ductwork.
6. Have the ability to design plumbing systems to include domestic water piping, sanitary sewer piping, and produce riser diagrams.
7. Have experience in commercial, light commercial, educational, and/or industrial design.
8. Could be registered, but not necessary.
9. Be skilled in the use of AutoCAD (familiarity with the use of Revit is a plus)
