Position Summary
Responsible for specification writing, modification, preparation and maintenance of electrical control systems. Aid the Engineering department in trouble shooting control system issues and implementation of Quality countermeasures. Assist the Maintenance department in trouble shooting control system issues.

Essential Functions (Accountable for the following end results)
Troubleshoots / Repairs / Re-programs equipment and machinery to correct problems with products and processes related to production issues or customer countermeasures
Investigate / implement new sensors and/or machine improvements to aid Product Engineering in reducing downtime and inreasing reliability.
Creation of Test Piece Construction Matrix (TPCM) for new model assembly lines. Build, Test, modify (TPCM) if necessary for the new assembly lines.
Create documentation for new Assembly equipment including Assembly Equipment Requirement Sheets (AERS), work instructions, specifications and process flow charts.
Oversee the controls programming, installation, and trouble shooting of new assembly production lines both at the vendor and in house.
Advise maintenance personnel engaged in trouble shooting assembly equipment.
Coordinate with Assembly Supervisors to problem solve machine issues and work with the QA department concerning Quality complaint countermeasures
Willing to travel to vendors for machine run offs as necessary, both state side and abroad when required.
Contact OEM vendor / distributors for support with machine / component failures when necessary.
Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager.
Maintain and project a positive attitude with overall consistent and regular attendance.
Education, Experience and other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
BS degree in Engineering or AS degree and 10+ years related experience
3D CAD, ProE, Catia, Solid Edge and Solid Works
Excellent problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal)
OMRON specific training for PLC's and Lab View
Experience in a fast paced office/manufacturing environment
